How to set the filters

Set capacity from the energy you need between recharges, not from a generic product class. If your critical loads consume 1,500Wh before the next dependable recharge opportunity, filtering at 2,000Wh may be more realistic than starting at 1,000Wh. Set AC output from the largest loads that can overlap, then separately check startup surge for compressors and motors.

Use the solar filter only when panel recharge is part of the plan. A 1,000W solar-input ceiling does not guarantee 1,000W in the field, but it helps distinguish units designed for faster daytime energy replacement. Use maximum weight as a real constraint: a wheeled 100-pound home-backup unit and a 25-pound travel unit solve different problems.

Decision sequence after you get matches

First confirm the electrical requirements. Second compare expected runtime with the runtime matrix. Third compare the finalists directly in the comparison tool. Finally verify the current manual, warranty and expansion ecosystem before buying.

What this tool intentionally does not score

We do not invent a universal “best” score. Price promotions, port layout, noise, app quality, surge duration and real-world inverter efficiency can all matter, but they are not comparable unless sourced consistently. This finder filters the specification fields we can normalize across the full tracked set.
